ABOUT KYLE

Hello! My name is Kyle Spens. I am a Technical Director and Educator currently based in Chapel Hill, NC. I am an MFA candidate in the Technical Production program at UNC Chapel Hill. I am a native of Tacoma, WA. After obtaining my BFA in Theatre from Central Washington University I spent 5 years as a TD and Production Manager in Seattle working with a number of companies including Seattle Repertory Theatre, Spectrum Dance Theatre, and Balagan Theatre. 

Now living in NC, I am working towards my MFA and a future goal in education. I live here with my ever supporting wife, and our 3 fur children, Gizmo and Luna the cats, and Jinx the dog. When not in the theatre I enjoy tabletop gaming, video games, and watching the Seahawks take on all comers. Feel free to browse my portfolio and contact me with any questions.
